Description

Landscape installers reach for this 5-watt CAST lamp when a halogen MR-16 needs to come out and something more efficient goes in. It puts out a 40-degree wide beam in a 2700K warm tone, which is a comfortable spread for washing a wide tree canopy, lighting a stone wall face, or filling in the shaded side of a column without leaving a hard-edged hot spot. Because it runs on anything from 10 to 24 volts, AC or DC, it stays stable on long runs where voltage sags toward the end of the line, and it holds up in sealed and submerged housings where heat builds. The black lamp body is CAST's shorthand for a 50-watt halogen replacement, and the beam angle is marked right on the optic face, so identifying it during a service call does not mean pulling the lamp out of the fixture.
