Description
Moon Visions builds this green lens for one reason: 5000K LEDs read cold and slightly blue out of the box, and that blue cast is the giveaway that a tree light is an LED rather than the old mercury vapor fixture it replaced. Slipping this lens over the lamp face pulls the blue back out, warms foliage toward a deeper green, and softens the beam enough that the light reads as moonlight filtering down instead of a fixture pointed at the lawn. Designers doing high tree mounts tend to run it alongside the diffused lens, since a Moon Visions lamp will carry two at once. Be aware that this changes the color of the light itself, not just the look of the lens, and that at 5 watts the lens epoxies permanently to the lamp.
